Counseling Corner:

The John Muir Middle School Counseling staff is dedicated to helping students meet their academic goals, enhance their social skills and mature emotionally during and beyond their middle school years. All told our four counselors bring over 90 years of professional guidance experience to their jobs. They are available 8 AM to 3:30 PM during school days.

Counselor Denise Farrell serves students who have last names beginning with Q through Z;

Counselor Mark Hamilton serves students Hp through P, his number is 618-4400 x3764.

Counselor Debbie Potmesil, pictured at left, serves students C through Ho, plus all AVID students; her number is 618-4400 x3765.

Math and reading help for kids: An extensive site devoted to helping parents contribute positively to their child's homework experience. All ages and grade levels are covered.
